BUT In order to get the speaker to power up….I pressed the Connect Plus And Volume Up At The SAME TIME….While at the same time, doing the INSTANT cable “Unplug/Re-plug. It took me 4-5 tries to finally get it powered up, IT TAKES AN INSTANT UN-PLUG AND RE-PLUG IN. ![]() After watching every video on YouTube….and several other different posted tries that all failed, even one that insisted you take it apart! I simply used the following method to get it to power up. I tried a very F’d up method on you tube to get it to pair by holding several buttons down together, and then suddenly the speaker charge light would illuminate, but NOT power up at all! I thought it was game over!! I tried everything! Nothing worked. once I reseated the ribbon cable it worked like a champĭON'T PANIC! I had trouble pairing the Flip 4 with any device, it would not be recognized. I was using the charger but had no lights at all and it wouldn't turn on. you can now test the power by pressing the button. ![]() once it is back in push the clip down and replace the silicone over the power button. you will need a small tool or flat head screwdriver to lift the ribbon clip and reseat the blue portion back into the clip. you will see a small blue ribbon wire on the side closest to the charging port. once that is complete take the silicone portion that protects the power button and lights and pull it back. This will remove the plastic cover from the top power button. once that is off there are four Phillips head screws that should be taken off by a small screw driver on each side. There are three retaining clips to release on each side. So you can start to take it apart by using a small flat head screw driver at the top of the fabric portion near the power button on both sides.
